Listen to the MG-AC97 5.1 channel headphones from LTB and

The headset is USB powered, so you don% have to worry

You get true 5.1 channel sound from the patented 6 chamber

In addition to being able to experience movies and hear the
full intended tapestry of sound, there is a noise cancelling
microphone for two way communication. Whether you% e
making VOIP calls, voice chatting or storming the

can hear you. lenovo

Pros:
Good sound for the price! Easy on the head, very light
in weight, vol +/- and Sound (not mic) mute buttons on the
LH ear cup, AC 97 plugins for those with good sound cards,
they even sound good with on-board, but try them with a
sound card! Long cable for easy routing, can be powered by
USB or AC power. They do have surround sound, and do sound
good for the price. Mic built into the LH cup, no boom,
works VERY well. hard drive
-
Cons:
Has a bass defeat at higher levels built in as a safety
feature to detract from damaged ear-drums, we should have
that decision. Documentation sucks, the hook ups are listed
as: Pink - Front, Green - Rear, Blue - Center/Sub, they are
in-fact (for me at least), Green -Front, Blue - Rear, Pink
- Center/Sub. Also, had to RMA my first pair due to a bad
internal connection causing random muting and static,
second set works great! Mic is a tad touchy on pickup. travelstar
-
Other Thoughts:
These have crisp sound, make movies, games, music
enjoyable. 5.1 works very well, they are comfy (I have
larger ears/dome, my G/F likes em too, she wears glasses
and has a small dome), the bass defeat kind of sucks, but
crank up the lower frequencies some and it s all good,
it ll shake the cups. Overall they are enjoyable, make
sure you hook them up right, test their surround function
to verify that s what I had to do. Still waiting on a
reply back from LTB concerning that issue. They are good,
and stout, even with swiveling cups (can lay flat), they
feel pretty solid. I would recommend them to anyone that
wants good sound on a budget! gateway
-
Pros:
the pro s are that they are indeed comfortable to
wear and the sound is ok, but not great. laptop parts
-
Cons:
Ah where to begin... When I put the headset on it had a
weird clicking noise in the left ear when the slightest
pressure is applied, which is a bad thing considering the
volume and mute buttons are on the left ear piece, very
annoying and loud clicking. Plugging the headset in was no
easy task as well, the USB Plug on the head set is not
meant to be used to operate the headset but supply power to
it, the connectors are color coded incorrectly, so if you
are not computer savvy and can identify your sound ports
without having to guess which is which, you may be lost.
Black = Microphone Red = Front Speaker Green = Rear Speaker
Blue = Center/Sub Next I started testing out the quality of
the mic on Ventrilo. I played around with a lot of settings
and the best description that people came up with is
It sounds like you are talking into a funnel pressed
up against a pillow in an underwater bathroom they
headset feels weak too. In short, This is NOT worth
buying software
-
Other Thoughts:
I m totally bummed that these ended up sucking, but
I guess someone had to take the hit and give an honest
review. I d take my Logitec premium 350 headset over
these any day, suberb mic quality, and good sound, only
downside to that headset is that if you drop the darn thing
it breaks. hard drives

-
Pros:
Sweet surround sound is convincing. Mic works just fine.
I like the color and the rubber coated feel. electronics
-
Cons:
Could use cord clip although 10+ ft cord is a decent
length canon
-
Other Thoughts:
Yo this is the best value I have found for edge of the
seat gaming. I like my action hard core and these rock for
under $100!!! desktop pc
-
Pros:
Very good set. I owned the last model of these for years
and just upgraded to these. Very good sound quality
Excellent 5.1 volume and mute button on the left earphone
new version condensed all the wires into 1 cable coming off
the set they now fit completely over my ears so they do not
hurt Built in mic so no boom sticking out desktop computers
-
Cons:
None so far. Other reported that the unit would shut off
to protect you ears from loud bass. This maybe the case but
I dont know what you are listening to that would cause
this. It wont happen in games. I would say that these are
not made for listening to loud music maybe that is what
they are referring to. These are gaming headphones and work
excellent at that. think pad
-
Other Thoughts:
These seem very well constructed, just like my last
pair. They will not fall apart like those turtle beach
sets. I cant say enough about these you wont be
disappointed unless you are looking for dj quality music
headphones repair
-
Pros:
Long cord, relatively comfortable (could be better),
sturdy headband. Sound is decent to good (could be better).
Powered by usb (with included AC adaptor) so they provide
plenty of drive (volume). data recovery
-
Cons:
Bass defeat mechanism is absolutely horrible, I mean it
alone junks the entire listening experience. It causes the
speakers to cut in and out with any pressure to the
headphones (adjusting the volume on with the buttons on the
left cup), or even jaw movement can cause it to happen.
This also causes a loud click, and you may have to fiddle
to get the sound to re-engage. The hookups are a bit of a
mess to figure out, but with all the different standards
this is hardly their fault. Microphone may as well be tin
cans with string. cisco
-
Other Thoughts:
Overall, I am disappointed with the purchase. Though it
does provide true surround, the cons are so strong that I
would definitely not purchase this again. If it were more
than a hundred I would have returned them and ate the ten
percent restock fee. keyboard

Pros:
True, unadulterated 6 channel audio in a headset. I like
knowing that I% not losing any detail that SRS or
CRSS-3D and the like may exclude. Mic works absolutely fine
for me. Most comfortable headset/phones I have ever worn or
that several of my friends have worn. Like wearing a cloud.
Numerically, audio quality is remarkable, but because I
don t have a trained ear, I will only say that I set
out looking for surround sound headphones and these
delivered sound quality above my expectations. I hear
everything and even some sounds I never heard before.
Exposes bad audio compression like a sore thumb. USB power
made the difference for me. All the connectors are
gold-plated, even the USB. Top-notch component and
wiring-wise. Plastic is thick and construction adequate
(far, far from studio-quality, but don% plan on
them breaking). My choice when a full satellite system is
not an option, but don% throw out your
speakers. refurbished
-
Cons:
The black paint began peeling away from the metal
frames. Refinished them myself but discovered that there
was no primer between the steel and the paint. Maybe I got
a bad sample that didn t get primer, but it definitely
should be there. The control unit feels cheap but is
actually about as well-made as a plastic part can be. I
would prefer click settings and illuminated dial markings
so I know what I% adjusting in the dark, as well as
a mic cutoff and a higher quality power switch. My friends
make fun of the blue illumination. I have no opinion on it.
Razer HD-DAI is not digital as it is marketed:
merely analog audio signals sent through a DVI connector.
Drivers used in the rear and are physically
just as capable of producing bass as the fronts
(because they are the same part), but there is a noticeable
lack of it. Velvet-like padding absorbs oils and sweat,
leaving residue if set cups-down. Washable and more
comfortable (read: breathable) than (p)leather though. memory
-
Other Thoughts:
I was looking for a true surround sound headset and
decided on these. Later learned that they are a slightly
modified rebranded product. Hooking these cans up to a
Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty etc., I was initially impressed
coming from Realtek AC97 and Gateway OEM stereo speakers.
I% still overjoyed by the fact that I can plug in
headphones and still have actual 6 channel audio (which I
guess you could say is simulated 5.1 because it s
actually 6.2). Vibration effect is due to weights attached
to the LFE drivers and is unavoidable at high bass levels:
annoying in some cases and adding dimension in others. But
overall I prefer my phones to rattle my head than to blow
out my eardrums, which this set can still do quite aptly if
you so desired, just with a whole lot of shakin% going
on. intel
-
Pros:
These headphones sound great. They re comfortable
and look good. as400
-
Cons:
The mic constantly gave problems. either it wouldn t
work at all or it was so quiet no one could hear me without
screaming into the it. Luckily it was detachable so i can
use other mic s without having the attached one in my
face too. Also it takes quite a lot of adjusting before you
really get good quality sound coming out of the speakers,
but once you do it really sounds amazing for a set of
headphones. averatec
-
Other Thoughts:
For the quality of the product and factoring in that i
had to use a separate mic the price isn t really worth
it. If i didn t get them on sale i probably would have
returned them. but for the price i ended up paying for them
they can t be beat. hardware
good gear with some setup
-
Pros:
this is a very strong performing headset. overall the
customization of the front, rear, center, and bass is very
handy. still working on the Mic, so i cant comment there
yet. it can get VERY loud. and its very accurate on
reproduction... its Razer. dual xeon
-
Cons:
this set is not very comfortable, comming from a
sennheiser set and the cup padding is not nearly thick
enough. it leaves the hard plastic against the ear with the
padding just making it not unbearable. i cant use them for
more then a couple hours before i hvae to go back to my old
set. the sound is great but it does take some tweaking...
you really have to play because some times you need to use
just headset, others 5.1, othes quadrophonic, etc, mine
needed the creative center using 5.1. this coule be a lot
easier with the razer card to go with it, but for 100
headphones and 150 for a card to make it work right it
pricey. honestly not worth it in the long run. storage
-
Other Thoughts:
for the price of the phones, the extra cost of the card
or the sheer time it takes to set it up right.... honestly
its not worth it for the most part. if you have the money,
the time and small ears its great... however there are a
lot of trades to make on this deal. i d increase to a 4
if they were more comfortable, but long term gaming means
comfort.... and these dont deliver. i WILL be taking these
pads to an apholstry shop to get the pads enlarged, then
i ;d probably like them better. seagate
-
Pros:

Cons:
I don t own the Soundcard for the headset so i have
to use the converter, i do get an occasional static and the
adaptor for normal soundcards is so big that it pulls on
the plugs Mic - NOT good, don t buy for the mic computer hardware

Pros:
These are just all-around great headphones. Great sound,
superb bass, and great for music or gaming. Very
comfortable, great sound quality, convenient volume control
location, and only takes two AAA batteries. I love the
detachable cord, great feature! The noise cancellation is
the best I have ever experienced. I use these when I mow
the lawn (several hours, we have 5 acres), and they almost
literally cancel out the tractor s roaring engine
noise. Sure, some vibration still gets in, that s to be
expected, but when cutting the grass, you can even hear the
commercials clearly, that s how good the noise
cancellation is! network
-
Cons:
None to speak of! digital cameras
-
Other Thoughts:
I love the detachable cable. That s the only thing I
break on headphones... so it will be nice to get a $5 cable
next time, instead of a new pair of headphones. Buy these
headphones! desktops
-
Pros:
- Great sound quality for the price - Comfortable -
Great Noise Canceling For those who say that the sound
quality isn t that great, it is. There has to be a
volume level balance for the noise canceling microphone to
pick up the ambient background noise, but not pick up the
ambient noise from your music. Otherwise you d lose
sounds and it would lower the sound quality. Having seen
and tried the $170 Bose equivalent, these are at quite
close to the same noise canceling quality. cognos
-
Cons:
- A little too much bass Admittedly there does seem to
be too much bass, compared to the treble level. This can
easily be resolved with the treble boost setting for the
equalizer in iTunes and on iPods. For those of you who
don t like to be able to picture the string vibrations
from the bass vibrations, I would recommend picking up some
cheaper headphones. I was using some superaural headphones
with slightly less sound quality that I bought from Best

Pros: Autofocus is very quick. The lense is clear and

creative top of the line webcams. I agree with the 15/f, rather
