Motorola Delivers High-Speed Internet Experience to Two Million More Homes in Europe, Middle East &

BASINGSTOKE, England, February 21/PRNewswire/ -- Motorola, Inc (NYSE: MOT) continues to lead the broadband revolution in EMEA with two million cable modems shipped in the region during 2004. As the leading cable modem supplier, Motorola is at the forefront of the connected home revolution by bringing together its expertise in broadband with leadership in wireless to create seamless experiences for the consumer.
As enthusiasm for the connected home experience grows, demand for broadband is estimated to increase rapidly. Forrester[1] estimates that by 2010, residential broadband take up is expected to reach 41% of Western European households.

Motorola is driving this trend forward with advanced products that meet the needs of consumers. Throughout 2005 the company will be enhancing its range of cable modems to include new applications, such as voice and in-home wireless capabilities (WiFi).
