EA Ponders Nintendo DS Support
Laptop Battery In an earnings-report conference call earlier today, Electronics Arts announced full and optimistic support for Sony's PSP, but have yet to sign-up to develop software for Nintendo's recently announced DS platform.
According to the report, EA currently have 8-12 titles in development for the Sony PSP handheld. Furthermore, EA expects Sony will ship 3 million PSPs by March 2005.
On the other hand, EA is reserving judgement on Nintendo's DS handheld, saying that the platform may have some unique applications but it has not made a final decision on whether to support the platform or not. Thus far, Namco and Konami are the only 3rd party developers to pledge support for Nintendo's upcoming handheld, with more expected to follow in the coming months.
