NRTC, Among The Largest ISP Cooperatives in the US, Chooses Proxyconn's Dial-Up Acceleration Technology
Testing proves Proxyconn has highest speeds and best graphics
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 2004--Proxyconn announced today that the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) has chosen to offer Proxyconn dial-up acceleration technology to its member ISPs. This significant agreement comes as Proxyconn continues to rapidly build its ISP reseller base. Proxyconn has secured agreements with more than 100 ISPs since launching its ISP Program only a few months ago, offering dial-up acceleration service to the ISP community.
NRTC chose Proxyconn after determining Proxyconn's technical leadership in key areas. Proxyconn and competing acceleration technologies underwent extensive technical testing, covering areas such as Web page download times and graphics quality at different levels of compression.
"Proxyconn will provide NRTC with high image quality, fast dial-up service, and some of the most sophisticated compression and caching technology available," said Tracy Woods, director of TrueBand Internet Services at NRTC. "While the technology is key, strong customer support is equally important. We are confident that this relationship will enable us to provide the strongest service and support levels to our community of ISPs."
The way Proxyconn responded to needs, quality of customer service, strong service support and user-friendliness of the software were also cited as key factors. Users can be up and running with Proxyconn acceleration in minutes with a simple user-friendly interface; and Proxyconn puts only a small program on users' computers - less than one megabyte.
"We are proud to announce that NRTC chose Proxyconn as its dial-up acceleration provider," said Caradoc Ehrenhalt, ISP Program Manager. "NRTC made it clear that they would be selecting the very best technology to offer to their hundreds of ISPs. It is an honor to be selected by a company as technically savvy as NRTC, and one of the largest ISP coops in the country, after rigorous competitive testing and evaluation."
