Ingredients - 8 oz Medium Egg Noodles
- 1/4 c Sugar
- 1/4 c Melted Margarine or oil
- 1 1/2 ts Salt
- 4
- Eggs, beaten
- 2 ts Cinnamon
- 3 md Apples
- 1/2 ts Vanilla
- 1/4 c Dark Seedless Raisins
Directions - Cook and drain noodles and put in a large bowl.
- Stir in margarine and eggs.
- Peel and chop apples.
- If using raisins, rinse in hot water and drain.
- Combine all ingredients together, add seasoning and mix well.
- Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
- Pour kugel mixture into a greased 9" x 13" baking pan.
- Bake for 40-60 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Makes 12 servings.
- Note: for extra softness, add another 2 eggs.
Directions - Variation: Pineapple Kugel Replace apples and raisins with one 16 oz can crushed pineapple..Add an additional 1/2-3/4 cup of sugar and 1 tbs cinnamon.
