(NASDAQ: SFNT), setting the standard for information security, today announced that the National Security Agency (NSA) has given approval to SafeNet and its subsidiary Mykotronx, Inc. to development of a Classified (Type I) Version of its 10 Gigabit SafeEnterprise SONET Encryptor. Under the NSA"s Commercial COMSEC Evaluation Program (CCEP), SafeNet has been approved to develop the Type I SONET Encryptor for deployment within the U.S. Government's Intelligence Communities, Department of Defense (DoD) and Civilian Agencies.
