Thinkpad County Manager George Devanney said "less than 1,000" Canada geese were killed during the project that was supposed to last three days, but was closed down after only two.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. Laptop Computers The goose killings sparked an outcry from the community and animal rights groups that were angered by the method being used to destroy the geese, but county officials said they didn't halt the program because of the controversy.

Gateway "Unfortunately for them, the court found that there is a specific exemption that states that this section of the law does not apply to an order by a state authority, which in this case was the freeholder resolution passed earlier in the year authorizing the (goose control) project," said Deputy County Counsel Joseph Ascione.

Software Strazza said the lawsuit is still pending.
