Nintendo, Sci-Fi Channel Make A Deal
Laptop Battery Nintendo and the Sci-Fi Channel have signed a deal to support the game Resident Evil 4 in Europe.
The first part of the deal will establish a month-long Nintendo sponsorship of evening programming on the Sci-Fi Channel. The sponsorship kicks off February 28th, 2005, and is being developed by Sci-Fi Brand Solutions and Starcom.
The second part of the deal involves a three-city tour, titled Evil Evolves, featuring films like Alien and The Exorcist. Each city will see promotions of the Evil Evolves tour kick off a few weeks before the event.
"We wanted to convey the possession theme of the new Resident Evil game by creating and owning scary media environments. The integrated Evil Evolves activity with Pearl and Dean and Sci-Fi has offered us the perfect vehicle in which to bring this strategy to life. This activity gives our audience the opportunity to interact with this much anticipated Resident Evil game and hopefully be entertained and surprised at the same time," said Starcom Account Manager Michelle Hobbs, speaking about the deal.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
