Wave & Gorge Boards:Bic Saxo 253 XDS
Author:
Staff One of two boards in the test with the options of single fin and twinzer configurations (it comes with three fins), the Saxo 253 has been upgraded to include fin-box plugs that won't fall out. In single-fin mode the 253 is still, after several years on the market, a fun board to ride in small to medium-size waves. In twin-fin mode it's still radical and capable of some serious sideways, skateboard-like sliding on cutbacks. Decent as a bump board and good as a wave board, the Saxo 253 is most attractive for its tough construction and good value.
