Laptop Computer The research aimed to study about perception of clinical instructors and nursing students toward clinical instructors' characteristics. The samples were 61 clinical teachers and 363 student nurses in Ramathibodi school of nursing, Faculty of medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol Unicersity. Data were collected by using Knox & Mogan's Nursing Clinical Teacher Effectiveness Inventory (NCTEI). The results showed that there were highly statistically significant difference between the clinical instructors and student nurses' perception (p < .001). The three items of behavior with highest mean score were 1) is organized 2) demonstrates clinical skill and judgment 3) reveals broad reading in her area of interest, the three items with lowest mwan score were; 1) has a good sense of humor 2) corrects students' mistakes without belittling them 3) does not criticize students in front of others. The results could be indicated to improve teaching behavior in clinical setting.
