ATI Supports Development of Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Systems With New System Builder Program

MARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2004-- ATI Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:ATYT) (TSX:ATY) announced new program support for system integrators to create exciting home entertainment solutions for new Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Media Center Edition systems. ATI is expanding its support to the system integrator channel. Available in August 2004, the ATI evaluation kit for system builders will be offered through ATI's global Channel Partner Program and will feature a wide array of award-winning graphics and video technology solutions.

The Acronis Migrate Easy 7.0 installation program can be executed only from Windows. However, it supports all versions of Windows since Windows 98 Second Edition. After installation you can use Acronis Migrate Easy 7.0 under Windows, or you can create Acronis Bootable Rescue media (either a CD or a set of diskettes). Acronis Bootable Rescue media allows you to boot a computer with any operating system installed on it. The bootable version of Acronis Migrate Easy 7.0 can clone any hard disk, regardless of operating system installed on it.

Ease of use. Need a calendar (with reminders), address book, calculator, task manager, spread sheet, and word processor. It's here! Want to play a few games. It's covered. While I LOVE this PDA because it is a simple PIM with a nice look (color screen) and feel (nice small size). But be aware, even though the technical specifications state it is compatible with Windows XP. They will not support it with all versions of Windows XP. I did not find this out until I bought a new computer 33 days after I bought the E2. I could not get the device to work with the new computer which has Windows XP Media Center Edition. When I searched for help in Palm's tech support I found a statement saying they would not support the device if used with Windows XP Media Center Edition. It has taken a complaint to my states consumer protection board to get the company to refund my money.
