TeraMEDICA Releases Version 2.0 of Image Manager Software
Laptop Battery By WTN News • 12/10/03 MILWAUKEE TeraMEDICA, a medical informatics company, released version 2.0 if its TeraMEDICA Intelligent Image Manager (TIM) enterprise image management software product today.
TIM 2.0 is an enterprise archive software solution designed to capture data from imaging devices or picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), store the digital images, and make them available for delivery to the point of patient care across the healthcare enterprise. Version 2.0 will replace TIM 1.0. TeraMEDICA will continue to support version 1.0 until version 3.0 is released in the fall of 2004, according to CEO Christopher Hanna.
The software allows physicians access to digital image data from outside their own departments, hospitals, and healthcare systems. The result is the ability to obtain complete and accurate medical imaging records with digital speed and efficiency. TIM manages increasing volumes of image data created by sophisticated imaging procedures that produce more images per study, and, in the case of 3D and 4D studies, more data per image.
TeraMEDICA is a privately held venture whose owners include Mason Wells of Milwaukee, Beecken Petty of Chicago, the State of Wisconsin Investment Board and the Mayo Foundation for Medical Research and Education.

The software lets you choose a backup location, including a partition on the disk, network drives, RAIDs, removable drives, CDs and DVDs. The Acronis True Image 8.0 Corporate Workstation (www.acronis.com) version costs about $70; the Server for Windows version costs $699.
