Kodak to distribute Cedara mammography medical imaging software
By WTN News • 11/30/05 Toronto - Medical imaging software developer Cedara Software and the Eastman Kodak Co. announced an agreement for Kodak to offer Cedara B-CAD to its customers as part of an integrated solution with their KODAK CARESTREAM Mammography Workstation.
Cedara B-CAD is a Computer Aided Detection solution for assisting radiologists in the analysis of breast lesions using ultrasound images, providing tools for automatic image analysis, segmentation, and classification. B-CAD was developed by Cedara Software and the Medipattern Corporation through Cedara's Technology Partnership Program, and was cleared in May by the FDA.
The KODAK CARESTREAM Mammography Workstation is designed for viewing and storing mammography images and data from full-field digital mammography (FFDM) modalities from multiple vendors, scalable from a standalone workstation to a system serving a large mammography workgroup. B-CAD software will be offered as an additional option.
