Cingular charges $60 a month for unlimited service and offers monthly data plans starting at $20 for downloads of up to five megabytes per month. Customers also have to sign up for a voice plan for a minimum of $39 per month.
Notebooks The Cingular set-up is for laptops operated on Microsoft Windows operating systems. Though Cingular said that third-party vendors are expected to offer equipment to make it available on other service platforms.
For now, BroadbandConnect is only available for laptop computers but Cingular Wireless said it plans on expanding the service to cell phone users in the future.
