SkyBridge Wireless Inc. Begins Testing New Point-to-Multipoint Equipment
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2004--SkyBridge Wireless Inc. (OTC BB: SBWL) has begun testing new Propriety Point-to-Multipoint equipment in the Las Vegas market. The new equipment has the potential in reaching the maximum number of users with ease of deployment and an ability of providing radio links in a Non Line of Sight (NLOS) environment. The equipment being tested provides High Speed Access Points and Client Premise Equipment which should enable service coverage in (NLOS) environments by combining adaptive high-gain directional antennas to neutralize the effects of Radio Frequency interference.
"We are very optimistic about the testing of this new equipment," stated Jason Neiberger, SkyBridge Wireless Inc. president and director of technology. "If the equipment performs the way we expect it to, by being able to overcome some of the Line of Sight issues that are common in most RF environments, reaching higher user capacity, and increasing Access Point coverage, we will be able to expand and increase the SkyBridge Wireless Inc. Fixed Wireless network very rapidly, while maintaining the quality service we provide with a continued saving to our customers."
Neiberger stated the test will take up to 30 days and a report will be made to the manufacturer once completed. In the interim the company continues to work on its business plan to cover 90% of the Las Vegas/Henderson metro area with the installation of new sites and coverage.
