Dual Xeon The main screen for the Instructor Resource CD-ROM enables you to access all the items listed in the Contents section of this Read Me. To launch the main screen, double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop, then double-click the CD-ROM drive icon. The contents of the CD will appear - double-click on the file "start.exe".
Storage Alternatively, click on the Windows Start button, click Run, then enter "d:\start.exe"(if necessary, substitute your CD-ROM drive letter in place of "d") in the Open dialog box. Hit "OK", and the main screen will appear.
Seagate There are five icons on the left side of the main screen. Each icon, including any submenus, is explained below.

Printers Install
This feature allows you to install the components of the CD to your hard drive. The Prentice Hall Test Manager and Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed to work properly. The other items can be installed, or simply browsed (the browse feature is explained below).
Technology Click Install to open a submenu that lists the items on the CD. Click the item that you wish to install on your hard drive. Once installed, use My Computer or Windows Explorer to locate and use the files.

Desktops Browse
Browse allows you to view many of the files without installing them to your hard drive.
Cognos Click Browse to open a submenu with the items to be browsed. You can easily view the files, and print them from the Browse feature. However, you cannot edit and then save the files back to the CD-ROM. If you wish to edit files, you should install them following process in C above.
