Pandatel and UpTime Sign Distribution Agreement to Maximize Data Movement, Management, Storage and Security for Service Providers, Enterprises
MIAMI & HAMBURG, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 2004--Pandatel AG, a global provider of fiber-optic and storage networking equipment for the service provider and enterprise markets, today announced a strategic distribution alliance with UpTime, a leading data storage and networking company.
Under the terms of the distribution alliance, UpTime is selling Pandatel's entire data transmission product line by leveraging its national network of value added resellers and its long-standing relationships with both Fortune 1000 clients and complementary manufacturers in the networking and storage arenas. The agreement allows Pandatel to immediately broaden the reach of its product line to a large base of new customers and allows UpTime to expand its data movement, management, storage and security solutions with Pandatel's leading product line.
The two companies already have several joint customers, including a Fortune 1000 technology company that is using Pandatel products to extend data network and storage across its entire enterprise campus. Pandatel products are ideal for UpTime customers that need a back-up data transmission system to support potential network disruptions, which can range from floods to internal causes, but also want the flexibility to use that back-up system to maximize data transmission through techniques such as load balancing. Pandatel products even allow customers to use their secondary storage and networking sites for activities such as data warehousing and analysis.
