ACE*COMM To Present at CommunicAsia 2004 - Asia's Largest Communications and IT Event
Company to Highlight the Role of Mediation in Migrating to 3G as Part of "Best Practices in OSS Deployment" Session
GAITHERSBURG, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 2004--
ACE*COMM Corporation (NASDAQ:ACEC), a global provider of advanced operations support systems (OSS) solutions for communications networks, today announced that it will be presenting at the upcoming CommunicAsia 2004 Conference and Exhibition at the Singapore Expo, June 15-18. Since its inaugural event in 1979, CommunicAsia is recognized industry-wide as Asia's largest communications and IT trade event.
Mr. Mehran Moghaddam, ACE*COMM's Vice-President of Engineering, will be highlighting the key role of convergent mediation technology in migrating networks and systems to 3G OSS. 3G is the "third-generation" broadband, packet-based transmission of text, digitized voice, video, and multimedia at data rates comparable to, or exceeding, wired internet speeds, and offering a consistent set of services to mobile computer and phone users regardless of their geographical location. Mr. Moghaddam's presentation - "Making 3G Work: Mediation's Role in Migrating to 3G OSS, Minimizing Costs, and Maximizing Revenues" - is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 17th as part of the Operations Support Systems "Best Practices in OSS Deployment" session.
This presentation will discuss the role mediation plays in increasing the flexibility of a 3G infrastructure, identifying areas of revenue leakage, and reducing the high costs of doing business in today's competitive environment, without compromising the introduction of new services and market expansion activities. It will also provide insights into how these capabilities can increase a service provider's Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), conduct accurate billing reconciliation activities with other carriers, and augment Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capabilities.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn how the successful implementation of an effective mediation solution can enable them to blend existing and 3G technologies into the same network, manage the performance of that converged network, and accurately and reliably bill their subscribers for only those services.
