Shortboard: We Have Lift-Off

Author: Staff
If you're comfortable sailing in both straps and you're able to jump off the ground from a standing position, you've got the basic tools to chop-hop your way into space. Now here's what you do to prepare for lift-off.

Laptop Battery First, while you're sailing along at full speed, look around and make sure the rest of the windsurfing world is at a safe distance from you and your flying machine. Then, with your back hand, reach back on the boom at least a forearm's length from your initial hand-hold. Locate your launch of choice - preferably a big whitecap ahead and upwind of you. The steep piece of chop in front of it will act as your launch pad. Keep your speed up while you approach the chop from downwind. As the front of your board reaches the chop, compress and partially collapse your body. Then, quickly extend your legs and push down against the fin and tail of the board to help pop the front out of the water. Remain sheeted in as you travel up the ramp, then quickly yank the tail of the board out of the water by bending your legs and snapping them up toward your chest.

According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

Thinkpad As the board returns to earth, extend your legs once again while you're still in the air, allowing them to flex slightly upon touchdown like shock absorbers.
