Laptop Computers My wife, we'll call her Linda, bought one of those aluminum disposable pans for cooking Turkey last year - after the holidays when they were on sale. I grumbled at the time, thought it was stupid, but she brought it out a few minutes ago, waving her money-saving triumph in my face to laud over the fact that she saved some cash doing that. Well, fortunate for me I had to write this Thanksgiving Turkey Tips story, so waved her aside as if I were too busy to notice. Ah, score one down for Linda!

Laptop Computer One thing I should point out in this Thanksgiving Turkey Tips story is that Linda also gets those large roasting bags that she places her Turkey into so they won't dry out when cooking. Ah, the sage of the holidays right here in my home, eh? But she's right. Fowl, when you bake it, will keep its juices intact if the bird, in this case a Turkey,is placed inside a roasting bag. And in case you're wondering what a "roasting bag" is, they're giant plastic-like baggy-type things that come in a box. But don't USE BAGGIES. They're not made for the oven, they melt.

One thing I might point is that Turkey's have the giblets, usually in a sack, inside the Turkey and often the neck is in the bird's cavity too. Take them out of the bird BEFORE you put it in the oven. Here again, follow the instructions that most likely came with the Turkey.
Notebooks But the links we provided below will take you to some of the sources that sold the Turkeys in the first place, so you can get more Thanksgiving Turkey Tips there.
Lenovo As to you husbands out there who "want to help" your spouse in the kitchen during this trying, stressful time. My advice is - don't! Stay clear of the "construction zone". Offer no suggestions and especially, do NOT order something out of the kitchen, like a drink, while she's cooking. Get it yourself. Trust me on that one! As to the children, keep them herded away from mom when she's cooking. You can watch the game and hold down the squirming little rug rats too. If no one's in mom's way, the day will go better. That's a tip from Linda and she MEANS IT!
Hard Drive Thanksgiving Turkey Tips:
Travelstar One of the largest suppliers of Turkeys in the country is Butterball. Here's their contact info: Butterball's hot line is (800) Butterball. You can also get tips on the company's Web site: Butterball.com
Gateway Remember that aluminum pan Linda bought on sale last year? Reynolds aluminum, makers of those pans and tin foil, also has Thanksgiving Turkey Tips. Reynolds Turkey Tips hotline is: (800) 745-4000.
Laptop Parts Now if you feel guilty calling Butterball because your Turkey is not a "butterball" (they inject up to 7% in liquids to add to its "flavor", according to a big, bold notice on our frozen Turkey, and some of you more health-conscious holiday cooks may have shied away from these assembly line type birds.), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) also has a hotline you can contact at: (800) 535-4555. The USDA has set up a cooking help line to answer common questions on how to safely prepare everything from the turkey to the stuffing and then storing the leftovers. Storing the leftovers is important. Thereis always lots of meat left over - and never fear. You can freeze Turkey after it's been cooked. Linda does that, and for weeks later she's enjoying shoving plates of leftover Turkey in front of me in some triumphant sort of way as if to say, "eat this and remember that tomorrow there will be more, for I slaved all day to cook this damned bird just for you." It's that look she gives when serving it.
Software I found a Serving Calculator on WNBC's website this morning that tells you how a big a Turkey you need depending on the number of guests you'll be serving. It's a pop-up page, so if that link doesn't work, go to their page where its located and try again.
Hard Drives By the way, have you ever had deep fried Turkey? It's delicious, but unless you've got a 50-gallon drum full of cooking oil and you live next to the fire department in case the oil bursts into flame, I would suggest you read the "safety tips" I found on the Billings Gazette's website - and yes, there is a recipe there too.
Electronics There's one last Thanksgiving Turkey Tip I have to offer. Be thankful for what you have, especially your family and friends.
