McGraw-Hill To Distribute Homeland Security Research Corporation -- HSRC -- Reports
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2004--McGraw-Hill Corporation has launched a new service offering Homeland Security Research Corporation (HSRC) homeland security industry and market forecast reports and product comparison analysis through its Aviation Week's Market Data Center web site (www.aviationnow.com).
The reports offered by the new service provide data, analysis and forecasts covering several sectors in the homeland security industry, including people screening for weapons and explosives, cargo, container and luggage screening, nuclear and radiological threat detection and maritime smart containers. In addition to industry, technology and market forecasts, the new offering includes a line of product comparison reports, including current technologies review, and detailed comparison of products' specifications.
The new service extends the offering of Aviation Week's Market Data Center, and is designed to respond to a growing demand for premium data and analysis products in the rapidly growing homeland security market.
"Investment, procurement and research and development decisions made today will determine the quality of homeland security measures anti-terror protection for years to come," said Mark Lipowicz, Director of Content Development for Aviation Week Group. "We think that making quality homeland security analysis and data available through our service will help users, vendors, policy makers and investors make more informed decisions."
"Homeland security is a cash-rich and knowledge poor industry," said Dan Inbar, HSRC's Chairman and CTO. "Unlike other industries, there is a painful shortage of reliable information in this industry. We invested over 40,000 hours of research and analysis to provide the homeland security industry with premium reports to help bridge these knowledge gaps."
"The users of our Homeland Security & Defense intelligence service and Aviation Week Intelligence Network can benefit from the data, analysis and forecasts that HSRC provides. Pulling this kind of information together in one place for them is what Aviation Week's Market Data Center is all about," said Mark Lipowicz, Aviation Week's Director of Content Development.
