Annual IWFA billfish tournament becomes part of Rolex/IGFA Championship The IWFA
Laptop Battery The IWFA Annual Billfish Tournament, scheduled for September 25-27 in LaGuiara, Venezuela, has been named by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) as a qualifying event for the Rolex/IGFA Offshore Championship Circuit, an international fishing championship that will take place May 16-22, 2004 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. As such, the winning team from the IWFA tournament will be invited to compete in the championship and each IWFA tournament participant will receive a one-year membership in IGFA.

Staff 28th, Quepos, Costa Rica Perfect weather and a plethora of hungry sails greeted the participants of the 14th annual International Invitational Billfish Fly Tournament. In four days of fly fishing, a good total even for tournaments using conventional tackle. "We figure that we normally raise four times the fish that we release, " said tournament director Billy Pate, "so we probably had 600 to 700 fish in the teasers."
