Microsoft Hunting bears in the designated areas will not decrease bear/human encounters. The problem bears are in residential areas, which are obviously not optimal hunting grounds. Bears are in residential areas because they are lured from the woods by garbage and birdfeeders. Already, with the education on bear-proof garbage cans, bear complaints in New Jersey have decreased from last year.
