Thinkpad "We're trying to think of alternatives to a gravel pit," Patrick McAn-drew, a Medford attorney who represents the Southampton firm, said Friday. "We're not there yet, but we're thinking about it."

Desktop Computer The company is considering alternatives, he said, because of stiff opposition from township officials and residents who fear the landfill is contaminating their drinking wells and the gravel pit would worsen conditions on and off the site.
Notebooks Several residents who live near the property say they would much rather see homes go up than live next to a sandpit.

Travelstar Township officials referred all questions about the site to Solicitor Peter Lange, who could not be reached for comment yesterday.
Gateway In September, the township Land Development Board granted Lakes Sand & Gravel a permit to mine sand on the parcel for two years.
Laptop Parts As part of the approval, the board required the firm to meet a number of conditions, such as restricting hours of operation and maintaining a 200-foot buffer around the property.
Software The company is appealing the conditions, saying they are too restrictive. A hearing on the case is set for Feb. 19 in Superior Court in Mount Holly.
Hard Drives Tabernacle issued a citation to Lakes Sand & Gravel in early December for knocking down 36 trees located in the required 200-foot buffer.
Electronics A hearing on the violation will be held in municipal court in early February, according to the township.
