ISN Telcom Launches Revolutionary VoIP Communications Service with its ipFONE Product

Company's Beta Customers in U.S. and Latin America Report Dramatic Savings, with No Change in Quality of Service

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 12, 2004-- ISN Telcom a pan-regional, phone, data, wireless and Internet services company, launched ipFONE, http://www.ipfone.com, service today, using the revolutionary Voice Over IP (VoIP) technology, marking the company's entry into what has been heralded by the chairman of the FCC as "the most important shift in the entire history of modern communications since the invention of the telephone."
ipFONE offers unlimited local service and domestic long distance calls, and the industry's lowest international long distance rates. Subscribers are also entitled to free calls to any other ipFONE subscriber anywhere in the world.

The revolutionary product allows individuals and companies to utilize a high-speed Internet connection to make and receive telephone calls from anywhere in the world, for a fraction of the cost of conventional telephone lines. Individual packages start as low as $14.95 per month.

ISN Telcom, one of the first competitive local exchange carriers (CLEC) nationwide to roll out VoIP services, will provide telephone service directly to residential and business customers without interconnecting through a local carrier through its ipFONE. The company is able to save on access charges it would pay the local carrier for delivering calls to the public telephone network, subsequently saving customers hundreds of dollars a year.

For residential customers, a simple-to-install telephone adapter instantly converts the analog signal in a conventional phone to digital. That digital information is then sent over a broadband Internet connection to the ISN Telcom network, which then connects to the public telephone network. Business customers simply need a broadband connection and a router to enable the service.

Customers simply connect one end of the adaptor to their existing broadband service, and the other to their telephone. The service allows individuals and companies to maintain their existing telephone number, while incurring dramatic savings.

There is no additional cost for enhanced features, like call waiting, call forwarding and voice mail. It's all part of the package, along with additional enhanced features, like "follow me," "do not disturb" and simultaneous ringing.

The heralded VoIP technology, which stands for voice-over-Internet protocol, allows voice communications to take place over the Internet by transmitting phone conversations as packets of information, providing a much more efficient and intelligent way to use the phone network.

"There is no question that Voice Over IP represents the future of telecommunications," stated Jonathan Lieberman, co-founder, President & CEO of ISN Telcom.

"With ipFONE, we are offering residential and business users throughout the U.S. and Latin America a way to access this cutting-edge application and providing them with an opportunity to save substantial amounts of money."

ISN Telcom is teaming with BroadSoft(R) in the deployment of the BroadWorks(R) platform to provide a comprehensive range of applications, enabling it to support a wide array of services integral to VoIP deployment. In addition, ISN Telcom has partnered with Cisco Systems(R) in the deployment of its gateways and Internet Access Devices (IADs).

Scott Wharton, vice president of marketing for BroadSoft added: "Our applications enable companies like ISN Telcom to provide sophisticated applications such as VoIP to a wide variety of customers, both domestically and internationally. The BroadWorks platform will power ISN Telcom's efforts as they continue deploying their ipFONE offering."
