As IT Spending Looks Up, Business Looks Ahead to NetWorld+Interop 2005

Re-sign Rate of More than 85% Underscores Industry's Reliance on NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R) for Content, Commerce and Community

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 25, 2004--

MediaLive International, Inc. today announced overwhelming industry momentum behind NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R) 2005. The event team re-signed more than 85 percent of its 2004 exhibit space for next year with many of the top exhibitors expanding their presence. NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R) 2005 will be held May 1-6, 2005, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
This momentum serves to validate the success of NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R) Las Vegas 2004, which featured 361 of the IT industry's top vendors, more than 50 major product announcements, and one of the most compelling and holistic content and education tracks available to the IT market today. Such strong industry support is the result of several new programs and services offered by MediaLive International at the event.

"NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R) is the only IT event that offers a deep focus on each of the hottest networking innovation areas within the context of the end-to-end network," said Lenny Heymann, general manager of NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R). "This year, we strengthened our commitment to serving the priorities of our exhibitors and buyers through new service offerings such as Interop Connect, the LOOP interactive web log, the BPA audit, and specialized VIP programs -- clearly, the industry has responded well to the changes, and we look forward to the growing momentum as we plan for 2005."

For 2005, the NetWorld+Interop management team decided to move the event to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, the fifth-largest convention center in the U.S. Both attendees and exhibitors will have access to one of the trade show industry's newest convention centers with modern facilities, expanded meeting areas and centralized Las Vegas Strip location.

"The conference portion of NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R) has always been a defining element of the event, and one that our attendees have come to rely on to give them the information they need to successfully implement and integrate new products and services," said Steve Wylie, director of content for NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R). "We chose Mandalay Bay primarily because we needed a venue with expanded meeting rooms to support the conference. At the 2004 event, the majority of our education sessions were standing room only, and we anticipate this trend to grow in 2005 and beyond."

In an effort to raise the accountability of technology industry events, and make it easier for technology companies to market and sell to buyers on-site and throughout the year, MediaLive International offered a portfolio of marketing and measurement products to its NetWorld(SM)+Interop(R) attendees including:

-- Third party, verified audits from BPA

-- ROI measurement and research

-- Interop Connect business matchmaking

-- Sales-driven VIP programs

-- Interop LOOP interactive web log

-- eNet tours

-- MediaLive PR Watch media measurement tool

-- MediaLive International Research -- stand-alone, buyer-centric research

These products and services are the first in a series of new technology marketing offerings MediaLive International is planning to roll out over the next year.
