The results show that DS produced by both brands of NRIS are much larger than NNIS (65.3 + 0.7, and 49.7 + 0.9 vs 2.4 + 0.1 microlitre; p<0.001) and make errors of insulin concentrations to about twice of the standard concentration (617 + 45 and 540 + 54 vs 310 microunit / ml). In summary, we demonstrate the effect of DS that contained in NRIS on insulin concentration after dilution. These higher concentrations are danger and can be a cause of hypoglycemia in diabetic patients. The effect is more pronounced in children and newborn who require low dose of insulin. Therefore we recommend to use NNIS to inject and dilute insulin instead of NRIS, especially in small children and newborn patients.
