AOL UK boosts Paid Services team with expanded role and new
appointments
AOL has announced the expansion of the Paid Services team in the UK
to deliver a wide range of premium online products and services to
online consumers. The new team is led by Kelly Brough, newly
appointed as Director of Paid Services, with a remit to develop and
deliver a portfolio of key consumer products and services beyond
traditional access and communication services. In this role, Brough
reports to Andy Jonesco, Senior Vice President of Audience at AOL
UK.
Jonesco said "As consumers start spending more of their leisure
time online, we believe we can create and deliver compelling
additional services that engage and excite them. Kelly and her
talented team have extensive experience in developing strategy and
products that meet consumer needs while also boosting revenue for
AOL and our content partners."
Laptop Battery The Paid Services division will focus on key categories such as
entertainment, safety and
security and mobile, whilst
developing new opportunities to further extend AOL's reach
beyond its current member base to other Internet users.

Thinkpad Kelly Brough, Director, Paid Services at AOL UK said "We know
that broadband users have a strong appetite for compelling and
useful online content and services, as they seek to get the most
out of their Internet connection. We want to build on our strengths
in entertainment and online security as well as developing
innovative new services."
Katz runs the company with 22 paid employees and 300 volunteers who give technical support to new users and are compensated with free memberships (remember those days at AOL ). He rents space in two AT&T data centers, one in Manhattan, another inSecaucus, N.J., with $700, 000 worth of computer equipment, end servers from Dell Computer and five IBM Unix servers. The $2 million annual payroll is his biggest expense.
Microsoft Prior to this appointment, Brough worked in strategy and
planning at AOL, focusing on mobile and new services. Before
joining AOL, Brough, who holds an MBA from INSEAD, spent four years
at Accenture.

18, the UK director enquiries service, has made a new appointment to the non executive board of directors.
Laptop Computer Helen Whately joins as Senior Category Manager for
Entertainment, a role encompassing services such as
music downloads, video on demand
and games. Previously a management consultant at
PricewaterhouseCoopers, Helen worked in the Commercial Development
team at AOL before joining Paid Services.

moves over from AOL's Product Management team and has been with AOL
since 1999.
Notebooks Robert Klein joins the team as Planning Manager, with
responsibility for co-ordinating marketing and reporting across all
services. Robert joined AOL in 2004 from Sainsbury's, and was
initially part of AOL's Consumer Insights team.
