Thinkpad Luther's Acting II class will present a mid-semester showcase of
their acting skills Thursday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m. in Storre
Theatre. The showcase will feature a monologue by each member of
the class. In addition, class members will participate in short
scenes written by David Mamet, an American playwright
best known for "Oleanna,"
"American Buffalo," and "Speed the Plow."

Laptop Computer The Luther College chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, an
international history honor
society, will host the 1997 regional conference April 4-5.
Between 15 and 20 undergraduate history students from colleges
across the Midwest will present research papers during the
conference. Mary Weisner, associate professor of history at the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will give the keynote address
"Family and Faith in 16th Century Europe," Saturday, April 5 at
1:15 p.m. in Olin 102. The conference events are open to the
public.

Desktop Computer Residence Halls Closing for Spring Break
Notebooks Residence halls will officially close for spring break at 7 p.m.
on Friday, March 21 and reopen at 8 a.m. Sunday, March 30. Students
remaining on campus will be housed in Dieseth and Miller. The
cafeteria will be closed from Saturday, March 22 until dinner
Monday, March 31. Health
Service will also be closed over
break, reopening Monday, March 31 at 3 p.m.
Lenovo Collegiate Makes Lefse for Cobber Choir
Hard Drive On Wednesday night, members of Collegiate Chorale, in
conjunction with some experienced Norwegian cooks from First
Lutheran Church, prepared lefse for the Concordia Chapel Choir's
pre-concert dinner. The Concordia choir performs in the CFL tonight
at 7:30 p.m.
Travelstar Congregational Meeting April 9
Gateway The Congregational Meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 9
at 7:00 in the CFL Recital Hall. Students in attendance will vote
on various issues discussed on the church council this year,
including revisions to the church council constitution and the
funding of an inter-faith room.
Laptop Parts Re-Entry Support Group Forming
Software A support group for those who have studied abroad is being
formed by junior Cara Presley. The group will meet one hour per
week beginning after spring break in order to discuss issues of
culture shock and re-entry into life in the United States.
