Symantec to Participate in California State Senate Hearing on
Phishing

vice president for consumer products and solutions, will
participate in a California State Senate hearing entitled
"Malicious Pop-Up Ads and Phishing Scams: Is Your Financial
Information Secure On the Internet?" The hearing is scheduled
for Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. PDT in room 319 of the
State Capitol in Sacramento. The Senate Committee on
Banking, Commerce and
International Trade, chaired by Sen. Dean Florez, D-Shafter,
will conduct the hearing.
Moynahan's remarks will examine the security threats associated
with phishing scams and outline steps that consumers can take to
protect themselves.
