Systinet's UDDI Registry business doubled in Q2 over the previous quarter, as enterprises evolve from building simple Web services to enabling SOA-based applications and look to the Registry to play the central role, providing a standard way to organize, discover, reuse and manage Web services.

Supporting Systinet's strong momentum in Q2, Systinet unveiled version 5.0 of its flagship Systinet Server for Java, Systinet Server for C++ and Systinet UDDI Registry products, as well as version 1.0 of Systinet Server for Middleware enablement, supporting TIBCO RV and Sonic MQ, with subsequent versions supporting IBM MQSeries (WebSphere MQ) and any JMS-based messaging solution. These products were made generally available in mid-May and are the industry's first to support Web services for multiple message-oriented middleware (MOM), the latest UDDI Version 3 specification, and new standards like WS-ReliableMessaging. Together they enable SOAs that for the first time are highly interoperable, reliable and dramatically more cost-effective.
After the pilot program was completed, the district purchased 5 licenses of Acronis Disk Director Server 10.0. The product was installed on the 5 servers that were running out of hard disk space. One IT administrator reconfigured each of the 5 servers to increase the partition size in a couple of minutes. As a result of using the product, the servers are no longer at risk of crashing due to hard disk space issues. Moreover, the server reconfiguration was completed quickly, saving IT staff many hours of rebuilding the servers from scratch.
