(NASDAQ:BBBB) announced today that eight new universities will use
the complete Blackboard Academic Suite(TM), to foster Networked
Learning Environments(TM) for their educators and students.
Networked Learning Environments are the future of education and
make it possible to connect and integrate courses with libraries,
research labs, other institutions, advisors, alumni and many other

Laptop Battery The latest additions include Georgian Court University, Texas
Woman's University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville,
Miami University in Ohio, Montclair State University, University of
Connecticut Health Center, Bowdoin College, and Framingham State
College, for a total of more than 91 academic institutions around
the globe using the Blackboard Academic Suite. Blackboard's
e-Learning software products are used by over 2,000 universities

What is a Network Interface Card (NIC) The most important PC device is the network interface card (NIC). Each computer on the network, including the servers, is required to have one installed. It is the NIC that provides connectivity between the PC and the network's physical medium, optic cable. Most of the new motherboards available today for PCs and servers have the network interface card integrated with the motherboard. Older computers and some newer computers do not provide onboard network interfaces which will equire a NIC to be added.

According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

Desktop Computer Bowdoin College in Maine has just launched the Blackboard
Academic Suite as part of a pilot program. The school plans to
implement it campus wide in the fall.
Notebooks "In less than two weeks, we were able to install the entire
Blackboard Academic Suite, with 20 faculty members and 600 students
using it," said Mitch Davis, Chief Information Officer at Bowdoin

Lenovo Southern Illinois University Edwardsville was previously using a
different provider for its e-Learning initiatives and decided to
switch to Blackboard.
