According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

PCs left over after an upgrade often do an admirable job as file servers. You just need to know what components are important, what parts you can do without, and how to adjust Windows so other computers on the network can access the file server. The following steps will tell you how to create a file server using an old computer with Windows XP installed, although with a little tweaking most of the following tips apply to a computer using any version of Windows...

While Genomic said it sold out all of the shares offered, the overallotment could end up filling demand if the stock rises immediately on its first day of trading, Thursday. Another basics of stock options trading play is to short stocks with upcoming IPO lockup expirations. An IPO lockup is a period of time, usually from six to eighteen months, when insiders who obtained the IPO at the offering price or less cannot sell their shares. Once this time period has elapsed, insiders often sell their shares. This trend is shortable because the greater the number of shares unlocked, the more likely it is that insiders will start to sell their shares, particularly if the market is not doing well but the share price is still higher than the IPO offering price. And the more shares freed, the better the chance of a negative effect on the share price. This trade works best when the number of shares being unlocked is more than 25% of the current market capitalization.

Desktop Computer Concerns over the market's volatility and the company's legal problems held back the amount of cash MasterCard was hoping to raise in its IPO.

Notebooks Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE: VG) which debuted its IPO Wednesday, fell over 13 percent due to concerns over competition and profitability. That affected the market's appetite for MasterCard's deal. Vonage shares were down $1.77 at $13.08 Thursday.

Lenovo Even though the market has been volatile and Vonage's shares tanked, what concerned investors most was a legal onslaught by retailers who feel MasterCard's fees are excessive as well as continued regulatory concern over antitrust issues.

Hard Drive MasterCard sold a 46 percent stake in the company, offering 61.52 million shares to the public. The IPO's price put a value on the Purchase, New York-based credit card company of $6 billion for its 1,400 member bank owners.

Travelstar Proceeds from the deal will mostly be used to redeem Class B shares, allowing the banks that make up MasterCard's association to begin unwinding their stakes.
