Toucan Diving at Plaza Resort Bonaire and Port Bonaire introduce AquaKids.
AquaKids is proud to offer the finest in children's programs;a hands-on, water intensive learning program for children ages 5 to 15. Learning about the nature of the inhabitants of the ocean will help children understand the importance of protecting the underwater world. This program is offered at Plaza Resort Bonaire, Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 12:30pm, with 24-hours advance notice.
Kids will explore the wonders of the Caribbean Sea, while learning how to snorkel safely. Learning takes place in front of Plaza Resort Bonaire and/or at different snorkel locations (including a boat trip to Klein Bonaire).
To enroll your child in a week long adventure, be sure to contact the resort in advance.
Activities during the week:
1st day:
- Introduction to the reef,combined with a mini
- Skin Diver course.
- Fish identification.
- Snorkel trip to 18 Palms.
2nd day:
- Introduction to our club.
- Snorkel skills & games.
- Aqua art project.
3rd day:
- Boat trip to Klein Bonaire.
- Out & In water games.
- Scavenger hunt.
4th day:
- Introduction to our PADI "SASY" equipment - breathing compressed air with a scuba-unit on the surface; Under direct supervision.
- Snorkel skills.
- Treasure hunt.
5th day:
- Finishing our projects.
- "Surprise Trip."
- Certification.
