Award-Winning Qurb Anti-Spam Software Now Available at CompUSA

Qurb Extends Distribution Through In-Store Software Channel SoftwareToGo

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2004--Qurb, Inc. a provider of award-winning anti-spam and e-mail security software, today announced that Qurb 2.1 is now available in select CompUSA stores through SoftwareToGo(R), an electronic software delivery system. CompUSA, one of the nation's leading retailers and resellers of personal computer-related products and services, is the first retail chain in the country to utilize the SoftwareToGo technology as a new in-store distribution channel for software sales.
Qurb will be available for purchase at kiosks within 25 CompUSA locations in the Dallas, San Francisco and Seattle market regions and will enable consumers to purchase software at the touch of a button. Customers simply select Qurb software at the kiosk and pick up their packaged software for purchase.

Qurb 2.1 integrates directly with Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express to provide a form of CallerID for e-mail -- delivering messages to your Inbox from people you know while blocking spam from those you don't. Qurb's spoof-proof white list distinguishes friends and associates from spammers masquerading as legitimate businesses or friends. Unlike content filtering tools, these security and authentication features protect individuals and businesses from "phishing" scams that solicit credit card, account and other personal information.

"35 million spam messages are expected to be sent this year alone. Couple that with the increase in e-mail scams resulting in identity theft and it's easy to see that spam is a growing problem that isn't slowing down," says Felix Lin, CEO and co-founder of Qurb. "Qurb's inclusion in the SoftwareToGo kiosk allows individuals and businesses to purchase Qurb directly through convenient retail locations."

A free two-week trial of Qurb can be downloaded from Qurb's web site at http://www.qurb.com/get. In addition to CompUSA stores, the product can be purchased through the company's website. Pricing for individuals begins at $29.95.
