The council voted in March to sell the 5.8-acre site to the conservation group for $127,500, after residents objected to the property being listed for auction as building lots. The March vote set several conditions, including banning the listing of the site in trail guides or maps.
Laptop Parts That ban was dropped Tuesday because of objections by Passaic County and the state Green Acres program, which are funding the purchase with grants. The site is near a hiking trail in Ringwood State Park. County and state officials said they have a right to list open space sites paid for with public funds.
