Laptop Battery The Luther men's swimming and diving team defeated Coe on
Saturday, 144-54, for a successful
home opener. The Norse dominated
nearly every event to capture the win against the conference
opponents, a positive feat after falling to UW-LaCrosse two
weeks ago.

Matt Poock ('02) (11.50.09) earned the top spots, and Ian Asplund
('03) won the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.13. Lloyd Smith ('02)
followed Asplund for second with a time of 59.99. Ryan Micale ('01)
(56.94) and Rob Jung ('01) (1:00.21) won first and second in the
100 backstroke, with Dave Curtis ('04) (1:13.55) finishing in
fourth. In the 500 freestyle, Nunez finished first with a time of
5:15.37 and Poock took second with 3:34.79.

Laptop Computer Jesse Abing ('03) and Dan Wing ('02) led the Norse in both
diving events. Abing scored 127.95 in voluntary diving and 172.35
in optional diving to win two first place finishes. Wing followed
with 118 in the voluntary event and 164.10 in the optional
event.
