Desktop Computer I have a ZIP drive as my F: drive so I back everything up to F:. I'm also using the 32 bit version of PKZip (). You will need to modify the file based on the location of your files, but this should be a good example.
Notebooks The rdisk creates the emergency recovery information for WindozeNT. The information is backed up the repair directory prior to making the disk. I just bypass the disk and backup the information on Repair. On my computer, the information won't fit on a floppy anyway.
Lenovo I'm using Outlook - so I include the backup of my .PST files from outlook. I've relocated all my PST files to my d: drive in a common directory.
Hard Drive I then back up my Quicken Expensables files and my Microsoft Office dictionary. I don't want to have to go add "Tod" to the dictionary again.
Travelstar I added a example line to backup the Password List file if you are using Win98 and Win95.
Gateway I then backup my profile information, excluding Temporary Internet files, History and Identities files.
Laptop Parts I then backup "My Documents" which I moved to D: and renamed Documents.
Software I then backup code and Delphi for safety.
Hard Drives I also backup my downloaded software, patches, drivers, and StarWars trailer. Other IE4/IE4 issues
Electronics Make sure to grab your .PWL (Password List) file. It contains passwords caches for password's you've used. (Win95/98 only. NT doesn't use this.)
Canon The typed URL's are in Registry -
Desktop Pc \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs.
Desktop Computers You can highlight a branch of the registry and export it for import later. You save the .REG file and double click it to import it back into registry.
Think Pad I haven't (yet) figured out where the IntelliForms stuff is but there is an IntelliForms registry key in the same Internet Explorer location in Registry. I'm also thinking there are files for IntelliForms in (search for)
Repair Windows(or WinNT\Profiles\UserName) \Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\UserData
Data Recovery I'd back up the entire Application Data directory - although I'd recommend moving Temporary Internet Files to some other location and deleting them out of the Application Data directory if that's where they are currently pointing. You don't need to back up all that junk. (Internet Options, General, Temporary Internet Files, Click Settings, Click Move Folder. I moved mine to D:\) Unknown
Where does IE5 keep the Intelliform information? (You know, the fact that it already knows how to fill in the address on a web page when you start typing in an address field.)
