Ingredients

  • 1/4 c Cabbage, finely chopped
  • 2 tb Radishes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c Carrot, finely chopped
  • 2 x Bread, whole wheat, toasted
  • 2 tb Green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 c Cheese, cheddar, shredded
  • 2 tb Celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c Alfalfa sprouts
  • 2 tb Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 x Red pepper (dash)

Directions

  1. PER SERVING: 308 cal.,
  2. 18g Pro.,
  3. 17g Carbo.,
  4. 20g fat, 60mg Chol.,
  5. Combine first 6 ingredients.
  6. Top each slice of toast with 1/2 cup of vegetable mixture.
  7. Place slices on baking sheet.
  8. In a small saucepan combine cheese, pepper, and 2 Tablespoons water.
  9. Cook and stir till cheese is melted.
  10. Spoon over sandwiches.
  11. Broil 4-inches from heat for 5 minutes or till cheese is bubbly.
  12. Transfer to serving plates.
  13. Top with sprouts.
