Nintendo Announces Recall
Laptop Battery Nintendo of Japan today notified those who have purchased the Play-Yan via their online site of a recall. The recall, unlike last week's Xbox power cord recall announced by Microsoft, is not for a safety-related issue. Rather, the recall is due to an issue in the Play-Yan's headphone output.
The Play-Yan's headphone output is actually outputting channels in reverse. As a result, you hear the left channel in the right speaker, and the right channel in the left speaker. While one could simply wear their headphones backwards, or reverse their ear buds, Nintendo has decided to offer replacement Play-Yan units to those who have purchased one.
Nintendo of Japan plans to deliver the replacement Play-Yan units on March 5th. In order to get a replacement, gamers must ship the defective Play-Yan back via the courier who delivered it. In the meantime, the Advanced Media Network suggests using the previously mentioned method of reversing your headphones/ear buds when using the Play-Yan.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
