Laptop Computer About 120 miles of the Highlands Trail is completed. In Hunterdon County, the trail continues from Morris County by running along the Columbia Rail Trail, then connects to Voorhees State Park. After leaving Voorhees Park, the trail crosses Route 31 and enters Hunterdon Countys Union Furnace Nature Preserve, passing historic ruins. Crossing Van Syckels Road, the trail enters Spruce Run Recreation Area and hugs the shore of the reservoir for about 1 mile before it enters the Clinton Wildlife Management area in Union Township. This 1.5 mile long section of trail winds its way through fields, old farm roads, and up the steep hillside of the densely wooded Musconetcong Mountain ridge. At the top of the mountain, enjoy the view of the reservoir before proceeding through a magnificent beech forest. The trail temporarily terminates at the pristine headwaters of the Black Brook in Bethlehem Township.

Notebooks The ceremony will take place next to the Clinton Wildlife Management Area parking lot off South Polktown Road in Union Township. To get there take Interstate Route 78 to Route 31 northbound. At the third light, make a left onto Van Syckels Road. About 1 mile on the right, make a right onto Polktown Road. The parking field is about .7 miles on the left hand side of Polktown Road.
Lenovo Musconetcong Mountain Conservancy (MMC): The MMC was formed in January 2002 to promote the preservation of the New Jersey Highlands and surrounding environs by initiating measures and taking an active roll in identifying and preserving natural areas and cultural resources, establishing a corridor of greenways interconnecting natural areas along the Highlands Ridge, encouraging and participating in programs to protect and restore sensitive watershed areas within the region, and cooperating with and supporting municipal, county, state, non-profits, private and other organizations that promote land conservation. The MMC is actively involved in extending the trail from its current terminus with the help of property owners and volunteers. We anticipate adding several miles of trail each year until the trail is eventually completed. Donations of time and materials are always welcome.
