Official Resident Evil 4 Press Release
As many of you know, Capcom actually made their upcoming hit and GameCube exclusive title, Resident Evil 4 known to the press back in late January. Today however, whatever embargo on coverage that was placed on those media outlets has been lifted. Now, Capcom itself has announced publicly the next chapter in one of their most succesful franchises.
Six years have past since the destruction of Raccon City chronicled in both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. And since then, the U.S. government has finally been able to destroy the corporation responsible for all the misery, Umbrella.
Now, in 2004, Leon S. Kennedy, former rookie of the Racoon City police department has made strides in his life by becoming a top US agent, and now has just been given what will probably be his most dangerous assignment ever. Tasked with locating and resuing the Presidents daughter, Leon is led to an unearthly location somewhere in Europe. Soon, he will be surrounded and pursued by unimaginable horrors that will make him wish for the return of his old mindless Zombie buddies. Leon must find out who or what is behind the madness and put a stop to it.
