Laptop Battery Insurance executives from Marsh & McLennan and AIG pled
guilty to fraud charges Tuesday in probe led by NY attorney general
Eliot spitzer.

Forensic accountants working for HealthSouth's new management put the extent of the fraud at nearly $4 billion. According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Marsh & McLennan (NYSE: MMC) and American International Group
(NYSE: AIG) pled guilty to fraud charges Tuesday in an insurance
probe alleging bid rigging and kickback schemes led by NY attorney
general Eliot Spitzer.

Spitzer's office, agreeing to pay $850 million through a
restitution fund set up to reimburse customers who were overcharged
by the insurance company through its executives in the bid-rigging
scheme.
Gateway The New York attorney generals charges have led to
investigations of other insurance companies and their executives
and have been joined by other state regulators in pursuing the
bid-rigging probe of the insurance industry.
Laptop Parts Shares of Marsh & McLennan closed Tuesday at $32.67, up 37
cents, or 1.15 percent. Shares of American International Group
closed at $71.76, up 27 cents, or 0.38 percent.
