Desktop Computer While Google's efforts to launch an online video search service were not very successful, the addition of the US National Archives films may boost its popularity. Google had launched its video store last year and that is proving to be beneficial to the search giant as more ad dollars are beginning to generated. Forecasts expect video ad dollars to hit $1 billion by 2008.
Notebooks Google has also been trying to get the US National Archives to open more of its text content online, which could prove to be more lucrative to Google as part of its Book Search project, Google Print. But Google faced problems with its library book search project when publishers balked at the idea saying it infringed on copyrights.
Lenovo Late in May, a group of publishers challenged the Google Print for Libraries program as a major breach of copyright.
Hard Drive The USLibrary of Congresshad announced last year that it was going to make its information more freely available over the Internet when the Library's chief librarian James H. Billington saidlast Novemberthat it was planning on building a World Digital Library (WDL) for use by other libraries around the globe. Billington said the effort would be supported by funds from nonexclusive, public and private partnerships, of which Google co-founder Sergey Brinwas the first to donate $3 million towards the World Digital Library's creation.

The OCA was conceived by the Internet Archive and Yahoo! in early 2005 as a way to offer broad, public access to a rich panorama of world culture.
Now that Google has added the National Archives films to its Google Video service it may get a jump on MSN and Yahoo! in Google Print as well.
