Government of Montenegro and Microsoft Announce New Strategic Partnership Agreement
Alliance Reflects Government Commitment to Fighting Software Piracy and Promoting Best Practices for Growth Through Technology
SVETI SEFAN, Montenegro, October 3/PRNewswire/ -- Today the Government of the Republic of Montenegro and Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) announced a new three-year Strategic Partnership Agreement, including an Enterprise Agreement worth US$ 2.34 million, for the development of e-initiatives, collaboration on the promotion of digital literacy and education, and to help fight piracy. The wide-ranging partnership is aimed at supporting government efforts to stimulate the development of the domestic market potential for information and communication technology and of the local IT industry, in order to help the country become a European leader for software. The partnership also includes a framework license agreement for the use of Microsoft(r) products by the Government of Montenegro, and related support.
