Laptop Battery By WTN News • 02/14/05 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee The director of the university's Center for Intelligent Maintenance Systems said last week he would leave for the University of Cincinnati in April. Professor Jay Lee told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he did not feel valued, and that UW-Milwaukee does not have good enough legal and other infrastructure to support technology transfer.
Menasha, Wis. Banta Corporation said it would sell all the assets of its health-care subsidiary to an unnamed affiliate of a Boston investor group, Fidelty Capital Investors. Separately, the company said it had sold a warehouse in California for $7 million and would use the proceeds from both transactions to fund a $150 stock repurchasing program.
Hartford, Wis. API Software has expanded its client base to include Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital of Albany, Georgia. The hospital will buy API's attendance-keeping, scheduling and access-control software.
Milwaukee Johnson Controls said it had agreed to sell its Florida-based federal services subsidiary to IAP Worldwide Services in South Carolina for $260 million in cash. This marks Johnson Controls' exit from managing federal base operations, contingency support and temporary personnel. Headquartered in Milwaukee, the company makes industrial and automotive control systems.
