API announces major healthcare contracts
Laptop Battery By WTN News • 07/12/05 Hartford, Wis. - API Software, Inc. announced today that several healthcare organizations have signed contracts to purchase multiple components of the company's API LaborWorkx product.
Founded in 1982, API has more than 400 installations in the United States, with customers ranging in size from 500 employees to more than 30,000 employees.
Hospitals recently purchasing API software include:
St. Alexius Medical Center -- Bismarck, N.D.
St. Mary's Duluth Clinic Health System -- Duluth, Minn.
Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services -- Madison, Wis.
Southwest Washington Medical Center -- Vancouver, Wash.
The API LaborWorkx product suite includes Payrollmation series time and attendance, which was the top-rated time and attendance system in 2003 and 2004. Other components are LaborVision productivity management, ActiveStaffer employee staffing/scheduling, EdTrack education tracking and management, Navigator series payroll and human resource and SecurALL access control.
The API software suite is designed to manage health industry-specific challenges such as recruiting, retention, cost saving and effective resource utilization.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
