Yoggie Management Server offers centralized management and enforcement of the security policies. Policy setting can be as easy as setting High, Medium and Low protection settings or by setting the policy for each of the security packages, including Firewall, IDS, VPN, virus, spam, filtering policies. The security policies are effectively enforced thanks to the Yoggie Driver, which does not allow the connection of the laptop to the Internet without the Yoggie personal security server either Pico or Gatekeeper.

disturbing incidents in which U.S.-based Internet companies have
bowed to pressure from Beijing."

Desktop Computer The four Internet companies were criticized by Congressional
Caucus members for failing to show up for aWhite Housebriefing to
uncover how Internet companies
do
business in China. Their avoiding Washington's
invitation could spell deeper probes by US lawmakers into the
relationships of these Internet companies in China, not only with
the Chinese government but in technology transfers the government
may deem inappropriate.
Notebooks Last week Google launched its Chinese search engine, which drew
considerable attention and criticism worldwide by human rights
groups. Google admitted that it was cooperating with Chinese
government authorities in preventing Internet users in China from
carrying out searches bases on certain keywords, displaying a
message to the user saying the search term was not permitted by
authorities there.
Lenovo The Justice Department is suing Google over search records in
the United States after the search engine refused to cooperate. The
government says it needs the records to defend itself in a lawsuit
over privacy issues. Microsoft's MSN, Yahoo! and AOL have all
cooperated with the Justice Department probe, though none of the
details of what information was released to regulators was
disclosed by the search engines.
Hard Drive In a joint statement, Microsoft and Yahoo said the two companies
are "deeply concerned about recent developments in China that have
prompted this meeting of the Caucus." In
mid-February when the Caucus
meets again it could force the search engines into attending and
most likely that will be the case.
Travelstar The statement said that Microsoft and Yahoo are "actively
exploring whether there are potential approaches to guide the
practices of our industry on these matters, not only in China, but
also in other countries where Internet content is treated more
restrictively than in the United States."
Gateway The search engines think that the US government should be more
involved in communicating with the Chinese government over Internet
usage and not pin down Yahoo and Microsoft to do it for them,
seeming to snub lawmakers inquiries as if they were not at fault
for how they do
business with foreign
governments.
Laptop Parts Global technology pundits say the search engines are doing
business with foreign governments in ways they see as defining
China and other geographies as emerging business opportunities.
Software Google's move at balking at the US Government's request to
cooperate in its investigation is being seen as a contradiction in
the way that Google is doing business with the Chinese government
by restricting user access and ignoring user privacy when its
telling the US government that it protects privacy and therefore
cannot cooperate with the Justice Department.
Hard Drives Some are beginning to question whether Internet censorship is
already occurring around the global without users even aware of it
as the top search engines already put too much control into
technology centers in China, India and Europe where personnel can
both monitor and censor what users access - even to the degree of
favoritism in what content US Internet users access on the
Internet.
Electronics Google Newscame underfire last year over dominance of Chinese
news on its US search engine over other publishers. Google had also
cooperated with the Chinese government then in cutting off users in
China from accessing Voice Of America news stories. AXcess News'
world and national news feedspushed the VOA stories for several
weeks after that before Google shut down our news worldwide in,
saying their "Google News policy prohibited publishers from
displaying third-party content." Yet Google has never published any
policies relating to the web publishers its carries. Google
referred to a Korean website that displayed the VOA RSS headlines
in a side column, suggesting that it was the appropriate way to
display that display that content. VOA's lawyer in Washington DC
never responded to AXcess News' plea for help. After dropping VOA's
news entirely, six months later Google permitted AXcess News'
headlines to once again display in its English-language search
engines globally.
Canon CNET was chastised by Google News last year as well after a
story about Internet privacy written by one of the online news
publisher's reporters used Google's President, Eric Schmidt as an
example on how someone could look up personal information online.
Schmidt became outraged over the article and sent a memo
company-wide, baring any Google employee from communicating with
CNET for one year. Schmidt's personal information was removed from
the Internet - but the same kind of information on anyone else is
still available and Google believes that its ok, that its not an
invasion of privacy - as long as its not their information.
Desktop Pc Google has even come under fire for insiders selling $500
million in stock just before the search engine released its latest
quarterly report that disclosed steep hits to the company's income
taxes, which Google argues it has never been the policy of the
corporation to release guidance. The Securities and Exchange
Commission would not confirm to AXcess Newswhether it was probing
into the company's disclosure practices.Google's stock lost over
20% of its value when the lower earnings were finally
disclosed.
