Staff The HO CDX is even better for 1999. Stiffness was added to the tail for faster acceleration, and the ski still turns unbelievably. HO eliminated the fiberglass and added two sheets of bi-directional carbon fiber, which makes the new CDX a pound lighter. The lighter weight and thinner edge profile make the new CDX even more responsive. The new Animal Boot bindings put the icing on the cake of the CDX. The comfort, edge control and responsiveness of the Animal Boots are great. Intermediate slalom course skiers will be happy to know that the CDX isn't an aggressive edge seeker when you're gliding for the gates.
