Refurbished Laptops "In an area where bears are known to frequent, that caution could have prevented this," Fritzges said.

Lap Top "She's a terror," Fritzges said. "She will go after any animal of any size, so she's on a short leash."

Refurbished Jeff Tittel, director of the New Jersey Sierra Club, said that the killing of the bear was likely necessary and that the practice of destroying nuisance bears has significantly reduced bear-human problems.

Memory "Frankly, that's unfortunate," said Tittel, "but a bear like that should be destroyed because if it isn't it might do something somewhere else."

Intel But Tittel also said the incident showed that the bear hunt did not have any effect on the nuisance bear problem.

As400 "I think it shows that the purpose of the hunt was to get bears for people to put on their walls than to get nuisance bears," Tittel said.

Averatec "This is the first situation which demonstrates how a bear hunt will not reduce bear-human interaction," said Sue D'Agostino a pro-bear activist from West Milford. "It proves the hunt is a failure and that our state needs to update its management techniques."

Hardware Fritzges said the hunt likely disrupted many bear dens, causing the bears to look elsewhere for shelter.
